At one time, I was happy.
My heart was lifted and flew among the stars.
Love made me blush with joy.
I looked forward to each day to start.

Now I'm left alone in this world.
Everything I was is gone.
I cry and feel like all is lost.
I sleep uneasyly and dread the morning.

I used to be sure about what I wanted,
Now I can't find it.
I found someone,
But I keep pushing away.

I've lost her.
I pushed her away.
I've lost what I wanted.
Now I can't get her back.

Oh, won't you please come back?
I need you to hold me,
To tell me that it'll be okay,
And to tell me "I love you."
